Year 12 Feminist Translation Workshop

On Friday 24th January, our Year 12 Spanish students were treated to a workshop run by Queen's Translation Exchange in collaboration with the Feminist Translation Network, where they explored feminist translations of their A-Level course text, Como Agua Para Chocolate. They had a heated (yet amicable) debate over idioms and their origins, and gained some crucial guidance on how to capture the essence of their source text through a feminist lens.
