Cheney Choice 2025 Launch

Cheney Choice is the annual in-house book award for years 8 and 9 and for the first time this year, we have included a category for year 10 students. Mrs Fenton chooses four titles for each year group, which are aimed at as broad a spectrum of students as possible - the selections include graphic novels as well as normal chapter books for example. They will study the books through their English lessons and we’ll vote for our favourite at the end of term 4. 

The Cheney Choice titles are always very popular amongst students and previous year’s titles are loaned again and again and are discovered by successive students year on year. You can find more information on the book selections by visiting these presentations:

Cheney Choice selection is a house point festival with significant rewards (including the much-desired golden tickets) being available to everyone who takes part. Students are encouraged to try the books and to share their opinions by writing a review on the library online platform.
