Cheney Year 7 students go back to primary school (Windmill) to deliver a climate change assembly
Article / Posted on 14 Nov 2024

Year 7 students joined Mr Vasy de la Cruz to deliver an assembly on climate change to old friends. Among them were some teachers who were very pleased to see their return and ask about them all about their new classes, teachers, and even their detentions (thankfully few) in their new school. The students presented why they thought that helping the environment was important to them and assisted Mr Vasy de la Cruz in answering questions in front of the whole school about the environment. We were very impressed with the level of knowledge and engagement on display at Windmill and look forward to welcoming some of the students next year. A special thanks to headteacher Ms Knapp and to Young Climate Warriors for making the assembly possible. An even more special mention to the brilliant Y7 students: Danish A, A CS, Toby CS, Matteo R, and Jack W.
