Rose in year 9 recently came third in the bouldering round of the Midlands Youth Climbing Series.  This was a great achievement after a difficult 2024 - a year marked by repetitive injuries including a flexor tendon injury which took her out of training for a number of months.

Rose is working hard on stabilising the parts of her body prone to injury, and with no injuries in 2025 so far, is seeing a marked improvement in her competitive performance.

Despite a difficult 2024, Rose's performance through the year qualified her for the GB Climbing England Squad - see the new kit that has just arrived in the photo below.

Year 9 climber's Rose kit March 2025We wish Rose good luck this weekend as she heads to Dubin, to compete in the Irish Boulder Championships which will see the top climbers in the UK competing across 30 boulder problems.

Rose's aims for 2025 are to remain injury free, continue competition performance improvement across lead and boulder disciplines, and do a lot more outdoor climbing.
